To all pharmacy residents
You are so important
No one tells you it enough
But know that you are loved
By every heart and soul you touch
With your words or with your gloves
The hours you put in
Fifty four or fifty five
The time you spend at work
Literally saves lives
And for the ones that you lost
Know that you did your best
Do not dwell, just learn
Go home and get some rest
Cry a little, it’s okay
It’s been a long day
Talk to people who understand
The sacrifices you make
Never give up
The world deserves your help
Because your help is special
You’re not like anyone else
And you deserve the world
For all that you do
You deserve to hear someone say
“Thank you”
So keep calm, carry on
Take a deep breath
The day is always brighter
After you’ve had some rest
